Down Time

Ok, so I'm having a bit of a dilema, I'm running out of contacts.  I have tapped into my friends to host parties, and now I'm running out.  I need to come up with some new ideas to get in touch with people outside my circle.  I have fliers posted, and I have websites but nothing seems to be working.  I refuse to quit!  I will find a way out of this slump.  I knew going into this type of business that there would be lots of work involved, and that is what I'll keep doing.

Never Give Up

I had a Home Party that I did on Sept 5th.  My Hostess had only 3 people show up.  I did my complete presentation, along with my booking game (I like Deal or No Deal), and 2 of the 3 people booked shows with me!  That night, the show had $186 in retail sales.  As we were winding down, my Hostess asked me to come back the following Sat.  Stated that her Daughter's birthday was that day, and there were a lot of people attending. 

I didn't do a complete presentation, but did have my table set up and talked to everyone.  We closed her show that evening at $450.00.  I thought that all in all, it turned out to be a good party.  I refused to give up, and kept the positive attitude! 

So far, this new venture of mine is taking off slow, but I refuse to give up!  I want to make this work for me and my family.  The only way that will happen, is if I keep pushing forward and working hard. 

Today, I sent 30 individual emails to local Teachers and PTA groups, in hopes to set up fundraisers.  I could have sent out a generic email, but I thought that personalizing each one would get more attention.  I'll let you know how that works out for me.

The other thing that I'm working on is getting my website out there and advertising.  I'm not a computer savvy person, so this one is a chore for me to grasp, but again, I refuse to give up!
